Dark Eye Circle

Panda eyes, don’t we all loathe them. Just when you are looking great with nice make-up and best attire, those conspicuous dark eye circles could spell the kind of disaster that ruins your day. From nutritional deficiency, aging, genetic inheritance to lifestyle factors (sleep deprivation, stress, sun exposure, alcohol, there are numerous causes for this condition. The breaking of red blood cells that pass through very tiny blood vessels under the skin leaves a trail of black and blue, and they are especially visible around the eyes area where the skin is thinnest. Together with pigmentation, it adds up to even darker appearance.

Treatments

The “K-Under Eye Treatment”

Our center offers a comprehensive approach to treating dark eye circles through the following advanced methods:

Fotona Laser

This two-step treatment begins with laser resurfacing, which stimulates collagen production and enhances blood vessel formation. This process helps to rejuvenate the under-eye area and reduce pigmentation.

Dermal Filler Injections (Juvederm/Belotero)

Hyaluronic acid fillers effectively reduce the appearance of dark circles and improve the tear trough area, making the under-eyes look less sunken and more youthful.

PRP Injection

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is applied topically and injected beneath the eyes to promote healing and collagen formation, further enhancing the skin’s texture and brightness.

Periorbital Treatment

This specialized treatment focuses on the delicate skin around the eyes, targeting puffiness and discoloration for a refreshed and vibrant look.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is hyaluronic acid applied and how does it work?

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is injected into the skin with a very fine needle. Naturally present in your skin, it binds water which moisturizes the skin and provides tightness. Over time, its natural production decreases and the skin becomes flaccid. HA can be injected to replenish and smooth facial lines, wrinkles, acne scars or other skin flaws. You will see the effect immediately.

Will my expression change?

You will look fresher, more relaxed or rested, but you will not lose your ability to show your emotions and be yourself.

How long does the Belotero treatment take?

The treatment is quick, usually taking about 30 minutes depending on the number of facial areas to be treated.

Does Belotero hurt?

Belotero HA fillers are now available with lidocaine to reduce any sensation of pain you might feel. As Belotero can be applied with very fine needles, this help to maximize your comfort.

Will the treated area become hard or feel unusual?

Belotero integrates so readily into your own tissue that, you are unlikely to feel the implant when you touch the treated area. This is especially important in areas like your lips, where you will want to see the results but not necessarily feel anything different.

How soon can I return to normal activities?

Some patients experience swelling or redness after injection, which usually subsides soon after treatment. Some return to work immediately after treatment. As Belotero is applied by injection, you may experience a slight bruise, but nothing that a little concealer can’t hide. Usually you can resume your daily activities right away.

Which wrinkles can be treated with a hyaluronic acid filler?

Not only can dynamic or static wrinkles be treated with a filler, but facial volume loss can also be restored and skin rehydrated.

Will I notice the difference right away?

Yes, the aesthetic results are immediate. As the treatment is less invasive than surgery, you will be able to continue your daily activities as soon as your appointment is over.

Are there any side effects?

There may be a reaction to punctures such as discoloration, a light pain sensation or mild to moderate redness and swelling, and pinpoint bleeding or bruising. However, there most common side effects are only temporary and usually disappear within a few days. Your doctor will advise you on side effects in more detail during your personal consultation.

How long does Belotero last?
